Is Miami The South? At Sparky's The Answer Is Yes.

sparky's Roadside BBQ, in Downtown, is a little taste of the real South. Yeah, sure we're further south than Georgia by what feels like one hundred hours in the car, but is Miami the South? Well, no. But at Sparky's it feels like it. The pulled pork plate, with two sides (mac and cheese and collard greens were my picks, but it was a tough call and the baked beans turned out to be a real star) is best eaten with a little taste of each of their signature sauces including a hoisin barbecue, a vinegar sauce and two serious hot sauces called options. It's all nice and it goes down even better with a cold craft beer - that's the only peek of city slicker you'll get at this BBQ spot.
