If you have your panties in a bunch because shooting animals makes you squirm, know that the we aren't in Southeast Asia, so the python isn't a native species and the overpopulation has become a problem because of people releasing their pets that get too big. The Burmese python is among the six largest species of snake and can measure up to 17 feet long and they eat native Everglades animals. So, may the contest begin; if you catch the largest snake you win $1,000 and $1,500 for the most snakes.
