the New York Times just ran an article about the return of the faja.

If you've ever even glimpsed towards those kiosks at any mall in Miami (and then quickly looked away before some lady tried to pluck your eyebrows or shine your watch) you know the faja's gone nowhere round this part of town. They bring up some good point about the return of corsetting and why it's a little anti-feminist-logic, but here, we're still corsetting up our girls for every quince we can in raw silk custom made numbers (remember those?! it was a simpler time.).

Would you actually wear a faja? Someone's gotta be buying them, the sheer number of kiosks in Dadeland alone proves there's a market for the faja. Supply and demand.
